ADEK announces Collaboration with Aldar Academies to manage and operate Al Rayana School

As part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge’s (ADEK’s) efforts to develop quality of education across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and in an aim to achieve the Abu Dhabi Education Stream Strategy through promoting partnerships with the private sector, ADEK is announcing the inauguration of the Al Rayana School in collaboration with the Aldar Academies, who manage and operate the school.

The initiative comes as part of ADEK’s quest to provide a world-class education system, while equipping learners with skills and knowledge needed to sustain the socio-economic progress.

H.E Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, ADEK’s Chairman, indicated that ADEK is keen in providing an optimal learning environment to help students improve their performance and be able to compete globally. The initiative will create new educational and investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi and will enhance strategic partnerships with the private sector.

H.E. added that ADEK strives to implement best educational practices, adopt new teaching pedagogies in alignment with 21st century skills, while motivating students towards creativity and innovation. “Our aim is to provide a new and differentiated learning model that will help enhance learning outcomes.”

H.E. Mr. Mohamed Al Mubarak, CEO of Aldar Properties, lauded the partnership with ADEK which allows Aldar Academies to boost its relationship with the public sector, stressing the commitment of Aldar Academies in providing a world class education using best international models, one that aims to produce qualified and highly skilled students.

Mr. Al Mubarak pointed out that Aldar is keen to adopt international standards while preserving a student’s national identity, as well as to encourage students to pursue their higher education degree in leading universities, and prepare them to join the labor market.

Ms. Sara Musallam, ADEK’s Private Schools and Quality Assurance sectors Executive Director said that the Al Rayana School is introducing a unique education model in Abu Dhabi through collaboration with the private sector. The new school will operate in the Al Falah area as a Kindergarten to Cycle 1 School, and will accommodate 2000 students. The school will enroll students transferring from the Rooh Al Etihad School starting the new academic school year.

The school will offer an American Curriculum in addition to teaching subjects such as Arabic, Islamic Education and Social Studies.
